Banquet Time

Last night we got to join with all of the other teams and share a delicious banquet meal. Everyone loves a reason to dress up and our boys cleaned up nicely! Everyone got to sign a basketball that is coming home with us as a keepsake of our Provincials experience. 

After the meal, we got to hear a pertinent message from Ken Larson. Ken has a long history in the Canadian basketball scene--winning national championships in University, playing for Team Canada and leading his own teams as a coach and Athletic Director at Mount Royal. He spoke about how every moment in a game (and our lives) matters. Relationships matter. Taking every opportunity given to us and learning from it matters. It was a great message for everyone in the room. The team took some time to talk with him afterwards and get pictures, too. 

It was a great evening to laugh and have fun. We are up this morning and heading to the school early to cheer on some of our previous opponents who came out yesterday to support us. We play Lamont High at 3:30 today.
