Beginner Band Workshop

When: Saturday, September 30, 2017, 8:30am to 2:00pm

This annual workshop day, now on its 14th year, is for first year band students from various schools in the Calgary area. Hosted by Heritage Christian Academy (HCA) onsite at HCA, the day provides a foundation for beginner band students and builds community with other music programs. Students learn to assemble, hold & clean their instruments as well as play under the instruction of qualified professional musicians (including music teachers and local band/orchestra members) from the Calgary area.

Students will be given the opportunity to work with Calgary's best clinicians and teachers in the following instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Tuba, Bassoon, Euphonium/Baritone, French Horn/Oboe and Percussion.

Registration deadline is Monday, September 18, 2017. School groups received information and registration forms by mail but individual registrations (outside of school groups) are $50 and payable by cash only - to register individually be at HCA by 8:30 am or email hcaworkshops@gmail.com.

Sessions begin at 9 am and the day ends with a mass group performance at 1:45 pm. Parents/Guests are invited to the performance prior to picking up their student(s) at 2 pm.
